Our course which is conveniently located halfway between Madison and Milwaukee and minutes off I-94 provides a classic Wisconsin golf experience. Our 18 hole golf course was established in 1927 and has matured to become a Lake Mills tradition. Since taking over as new owners in 2008, Lestor and Britton Mach have made the commitment to improve this beautiful course and offer a course that will accomodate golfers of all skills. If you haven’t been to the Lake Mills Golf Club recently, you’ll want to come and see what we’ve done to improve this great Wisconsin Golf Course.

Rock Lake Park

Lower Rock Lake Park is on County Road B and Rock Lake Road on the north end of Rock Lake near the City of Lake Mills. The Town of Lake Mills has jurisdiction over the boat ramp, Park Drive and the shoreline. The park is used for access to Rock Lake, for picnicking, active play and bird watching. The park itself is on the south side of County Road B and a boat parking lot is to the north side of the road. The Town of Lake Mills charges $5 per day for use of the boat ramp or $20 annually.

Upper Rock Lake Park is on County Road B and Rock Lake Road on the north end of Rock Lake near the City of Lake Mills. The northern section of the park is located at the top of a hill overlooking the lake and has a natural character. It is used for picnicking, hiking, dog walking, and play. It also features a looped wooded nature trail and a picnic shelter.

Korth Park

Located in Lake Mills on Rock Lake, Korth Lane E of County Highway S. Korth Park was purchased in 2000 to protect the water quality and fish habitat of Rock Lake. A packed limestone bicycle trail along the shore of Rock Lake connects Cedar Lane to Elm Point Road. A connecting trail to the Glacial Drumlin Trail, just to the south, was completed in 2003 on land purchased by the WIDNR. This trail connection creates a loop path around Rock Lake.

Bartel’s Beach

Sandy Beach Park

Commons Park

Aztalan State Park

This park contains one of Wisconsin’s most important archaeological sites. The park showcases an ancient middle-Mississippian village and ceremonial complex that thrived between 1000-1300 A.D. The park is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., May to October. Aztalan, WI.

Jefferson Speedway

Great stock car racing action every Saturday night. (Home track of Nascar’s #17, Matt Kennseth) Featuring a full program of Late Model, 4-Cylinder International, Sportsman & Hobby Stock Racing. Aztalan Cycle Club & Motocross Track

Aztalan Cycle Club is one of the oldest and strongest clubs promoting offroad motorcycle competition in Wisconsin. Our motocross track utilizes the natural terrain to provide a safe but very challenging layout for the racers. Not to be forgotten this layout provides spectators with close up, fast paced racing action, and thrills of watching the racers catch big air over our jumps. We are also very proud to host motorcycle and quad racers on our first class 1/4 mile clay oval shot track several Saturday nights throughout the season. The high quality surface provides high speed bar to bar racing under the lights. In addition to fast paced and exciting racing we also provide the best track side food concessions of any track in the Midwest. Come on out and catch the action at any of our events and you will see why we are “THE BEST IN THE MIDWEST”.

Tyranena Brewing Company

The legend of Tyranena (pronounced Tie·rah·nee·nah) began long ago, in a time before history was written. Legend tells of a foreign tribe that built a series of stone structures and effigy mounds on the edge of a lake they called Tyranena.

Today, these structures lie preserved deep under the waters of Rock Lake. No one knows for sure who built them, the purposes they served, how and why they are now submerged, or even the meaning of the word Tyranena.

We invite you to develop your own theories while enjoying one of the new legends of Tyranena, the Legendary Wisconsin Beers of the Tyranena Brewing Company.

Lake Mills / Aztalan Historical Museum

Located in an old church and a collection of log cabins 2 miles East of Lake Mills, the Aztalan Museum contains displays of many items representative of the pioneer settlement of this area, as well as artifacts of prehistoric Indian culture. The museum is open May 15 through September 30. Thursday-Sunday, 12 noon to 4pm. Special hours for bus tours are available.

Glacial Drumlin Bike Trail

Named for the glacier-formed elongate hills viewable from the 47-mile winding trail which runs from Waukesha to Cottage Grove. Following the path of the old Chicago and Northwestern Railway that operated in the 1880s, it goes through the neighboring communities of London, Jefferson, and Deerfield. It offers an enjoyable route for hikers, bikers, and snowmobilers traveling the countryside and farm lands of southern Wisconsin.
